Daily Dish: Getting trans fat out of school vending machines

The Los Angeles Times blog, Daily Dish, brings us more details about the new California food laws that recently went into effect on July 1.

As you will recall from our previous post on the three CA food laws, the Golden State has adopted laws that include banning trans fats from school vending machines. Daily Dish reports that restaurants also are now required to "use fats with less than half a gram of trans fats per serving by Jan. 1, 2010."

Watch as our girlish California figures improve, once these laws begin to eat away at our waistlines - in a good way.
